Cadillac’s entry-level electric SUV is now slightly more affordable for the 2027 model year. The base Optiq Luxury with rear-wheel drive is listed at $51,790, including destination, which is $905 below the price previously announced by General Motors.

The Luxury all-wheel-drive version is also $905 cheaper and now starts at $55,290. The Sport trim has been reduced by $900, with prices starting at $52,395 for rear-wheel drive and $55,895 for all-wheel drive. Prices for the Premium Luxury, Premium Sport and V-Series trims remain unchanged from GM’s original announcement.

Rear-wheel-drive versions of the 2027 Optiq offer up to 317 miles of estimated range, while all-wheel-drive models are rated for up to 303 miles. Every version includes a 33-inch Horizon Display, a 19-speaker AKG Studio Audio System, GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driver-assistance technology and a built-in NACS charging port.

The Premium Luxury and Premium Sport trims add features such as a Head-Up Display, ventilated and massaging front seats with lumbar support, and a rear cargo cover. Moving from rear-wheel drive to all-wheel drive adds $3,500.

At the top of the range, the 2027 Optiq-V starts at $69,295. Cadillac estimates that its performance-focused model can produce 650 horsepower and 519 lb-ft of torque in Velocity Max Mode, while its listed range is 275 miles.

The Optiq competes with the Tesla Model Y. Tesla’s base Model Y RWD starts at $39,990 and is rated for up to 321 miles of range, while the AWD version starts at $41,990 and offers up to 294 miles. The Model Y has a 16-inch QHD touchscreen and a seven-speaker audio system in its base configuration.
