BYD’s Great Han electric sedan reached 4,000 sales in the 19 days after its launch, according to the company. The model, also known as the Da Han in China, debuted on October 13 as the first fully electric D-segment flagship sedan in BYD’s Dynasty lineup.

The Great Han is offered in three versions, with prices starting at 235,900 yuan, or about $35,000. Buyers can choose between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. BYD lists a maximum CLTC range of 1,008 km (626 miles) for the rear-wheel-drive Premium trim and up to 880 km (546 miles) for the all-wheel-drive Flagship.

Every version uses a 102.326 kWh Blade 2.0 battery. The rear-wheel-drive models have a 370 kW (496 hp) motor, while the all-wheel-drive model adds a 200 kW (268 hp) front motor for a combined output of 570 kW (764 hp).

BYD says the battery can charge from 10% to 70% in five minutes using its Flash Charging technology, with a charge from 10% to 97% taking nine minutes. The car also comes with roof-mounted LiDAR and the company’s God’s Eye B driver-assistance system, which includes highway and city navigation assistance and remote autonomous parking.

Other standard features listed by BYD include DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension, rear-wheel steering and zero-gravity front seats. The Great Han measures 5,256 mm long and has a 3,130 mm wheelbase.

BYD said it sold 1,953,700 vehicles through October, 6% more than over the same period in 2025. Its Great Tang SUV, another Dynasty flagship, recorded 14,000 sales in October, the fourth consecutive month above 10,000.
