Ford’s upcoming Fathom electric pickup will start at $28,350 for the standard-range model. Including the $1,595 delivery fee, the entry price remains below $30,000. Ford Model e president Andrew Frick said the lineup will extend into the high $30,000s, with several versions planned, though the company has not yet shared details about them.

Ford CEO Jim Farley said the midsize pickup remains on track to launch in the fourth quarter of 2027. The Fathom will be the first vehicle built on Ford’s Universal Electric Vehicle platform, and the company plans to open preorders in early 2027.

Ford says the Fathom will use a zonal electrical architecture and a 48-volt system to help reduce costs. It will also support bidirectional charging, allowing the truck to supply power to a home. All versions are expected to be BlueCruise-capable and include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Ford has also said the vehicle will have an NACS charging port.

The company says the Fathom will offer more interior space than a Toyota RAV4, in addition to a front trunk and truck bed. Ford has not yet shown the cabin, but says it will include a large touchscreen and navigation. Farley has identified Apple Maps integration and the vehicle’s digital services as potential upsell opportunities; further details are expected closer to launch.
