BLUETTI launched the Apex 200 portable power station on November 4, positioning it as a compact option for keeping essential household devices running during outages and supplying power on RV trips. The standalone unit starts at $1,099 during a super early-bird promotion through November 18. The source also lists an additional 5% discount with the code ELECTREK5OFF.
The Apex 200 has a 2,560Wh lithium iron phosphate battery and provides 3.2kW of continuous AC output. That figure rises to 3.6kW when an expansion battery is connected or the unit is charging. It weighs 26.9kg and has a 36.2-liter enclosure, according to BLUETTI.
The battery can be expanded with up to six B500K batteries, for a maximum capacity of 33.28kWh on one Apex 200. BLUETTI says adding one or two B300K batteries can extend essential home backup to two or three days, although actual runtime depends on the devices being powered and their combined energy use.
For short outages, the company estimates the standalone unit can run a 150W refrigerator for 10 to 12 hours. It also says the Apex 200 can supply lower-draw devices such as CPAP machines, Wi-Fi routers and phones for two to three days, depending on equipment and usage. These are estimates, and real-world performance will vary with the load and conversion losses.
Four AC outlets can be controlled individually through the BLUETTI app, which also supports schedules and state-of-charge controls. The system is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Home Assistant. A UPS function switches connected equipment to battery power in 15 milliseconds; users should check that timing against the needs of their devices.
The Apex 200 accepts up to 3kW of solar input through two charging channels: a 2kW MC4 input and a separate 1kW XT60 input. BLUETTI says a compatible SORA 500 solar-panel setup can charge the base battery from zero to 80% in 50 minutes, or to full in 1.7 hours, under the stated configuration. Wall AC, vehicle charging and compatible gas generators are other charging options.
For a larger home backup system, up to three Apex 200 units can be connected through BLUETTI’s Hub A1 parallel box. The company specifies up to 6kW of continuous AC output and approximately 100kWh of storage for that configuration. The appliances that can be powered depend on the system setup, household demand and compatible transfer equipment.
RV owners get a built-in 30A TT-30R outlet for 120V power and a 12V/30A Anderson connection for compatible DC equipment. BLUETTI also offers a Charger 2 for alternator and solar charging, allowing the battery to recharge while driving and from solar panels at a campsite.
BLUETTI describes the Apex 200 as the smaller, lower-cost choice for buyers who want a portable unit with RV connections and the option to add capacity. The Apex 300, by comparison, has 3,840W of output and 2,764.8Wh of storage, and is positioned for more advanced home backup configurations.
